Eugene is a survivor featured in Zombie Panic: Source.
Appearance
Eugene worked as a detective before the outbreak. He has short, brown hair, and dons a black leather jacket, blue undershirt, black fingerless gloves, beige cargo pants, and black-grey boots. Eugene is notably the most snarky and angry of the survivors, as well as egotistical.
He is likely between the ages of twenty-six and thirty-five.
Official Bio
Prior to the outbreak, Eugene had been a detective at the Boulder Police Department, struggling to find balance between law enforcement and a shaky home life. Kathy, his nervous wife, resented the long hours he put into making their city safer, but it just seemed like she couldn't understand that everything he was doing was for their 7-year-old son, Teddy.
When Kathy threatened to divorce him and take their son to her hometown in Florida, Eugene sought to get some advice from Marcus, his friend and former partner on the beat. The next day, as the two men commiserated over a greasy late lunch at Larry's Diner, the chaos of the outbreak erupted in the form of the diner's busboy and dishwasher, ravaged by the fever of infection, as he turned on the restaurant's manager and took a bite out of the man's hand.
Now that the outbreak is in full swing, Eugene is desperate to find out what happened to his wife and their son.

- Eugene was added to Zombie Panic! Source in version 1.0, the original release of the mod.
- Eugene received updates in versions 2.0 and 3.0.
Trivia
- Eugene was the first survivor added to Zombie Panic! Source, and the only playable survivor in early development builds of the game.
- Eugene's undershirt has the letters BPPD printed on it. This may be referencing the Buena Park Police Department from Eugene's original character bio in early ZPS.
- According to the Zombie Panic: Source official comic, Eugene and Marcus worked together as partners.
- Eugene appears to be the only survivor who has been directly attacked by a zombie prior to Zombie Panic: Source, as evident by his torn and blood-stained undershirt.
- Eugene appears to have some burns on the right side of his face and torso.
- Eugene wears black fingerless gloves. These gloves are missing from his zombie form, though interestingly the zombified Eugene's viewmodel has them.
- Eugene and the Carrier were both voiced by Eric Grant.
- Eugene is the most played-as character, considering he is the default player model and many players have not changed this setting.
- Eugene and the Carrier are the only two zombies with their mouths open, as all other zombies have their mouths closed.
- Eugene Grant also appears in Contagion, the spiritual successor to Zombie Panic! Source.
